who said what?

I think it's fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we've ever created. They're tools of communication, they're tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user.

Content Analyst

Content Analyst has developed a sophisticated platform known as CAAT. This platform is designed to transform large volumes of unstructured data into relevant information. This allows us at IP Street to do "fuzzy searching" called Concept Search so you can see the most relevant patent documents (issued patents and applications).

CAAT origins

As a spin-off of Bell Labs, Content Analyst Company is the original patent-holder for Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI, and today holds numerous patents around this technology and its applications. The CAAT platform, which is based on patented LSI technology, provides a number of advanced text analytics features in a highly scalable, proven platform designed to cope with massive amounts of unstructured data:

  • Concept Search
  • Advanced Search (keyword plus concept)
  • Concept-based Categorization

Key technology

Unlike other technologies, CAAT uses advanced mathematics to process information the way people think — by concepts rather than keywords, phrases, or term lists. There are no auxiliary dictionaries or thesauri that require updating. Instead, built in self-training allows CAAT to "learn" concepts from the actual information being analyzed — saving valuable customer time and making implementations simple and straightforward.

More information about CAAT can be found on their website or Wikipedia.
